UND was founded in 1974 in Turkey to all kinds of problems in the land transport sector with a professional organization identity by industry representatives came together to solve national and international platforms. In the intervening years, the global economy dominated the world order were both Turkeys economy has changed the land transport sector and the industry sector, which has become one of Turkeys remarkable progress. The global economy that dominates the changing world has also changed the structure of UND. With its changing structure, UND gave up its ordinary professional organization identity and redefined its identity in 2001.In the Ordinary General Assembly elections held in 2001, Ömer Çetin Nuhoğlu, who responded to the expectations of change in the sector, by presenting the participation based management model based on the EFQM Excellence Model to the members, assumed the position of Chairman of the Board.Aiming to integrate its members quantitative leadership and qualitative leadership with the power it possesses, UND has created an organization model that meets the needs and expectations of its members in order to activate its activities and develop its service network at the national and international level. The Board of Directors responsible for the establishment of the main principles related to the reason for the existence of UND, the Executive Board, which will translate the main principles into practice and which can be defined as the engine of UND, and the representative offices that will ensure the spread of the main principles, all goals and principles of UND to the whole country and even the world, Working Groups, who are volunteers who solve problems by participating in management, have formed the organizational framework. While the Executive Board was responsible for the executive, the participation process of UND members was also initiated. Working groups were created to solve every problem of the sector or to reach its target, and volunteer members were actively involved in the "execution" in these working groups. Working groups also formed the basis for the formation of a “transparent and participatory” management model at UND.UND is not decentralized but decentralized. For this reason, 12 regional representative offices were organized. With the aim of organizing the organization in the direction of the dynamics of the sector, Goals Management has been adopted and all projects that will realize the strategies have been managed with an organization with a professional staff. The international road transport sector, which has a 3.5 billion dollar investment and employs approximately 300,000 people together with its subsidiary sectors, represents 90% of UND, the leading company with 940 members, and carries approximately 53% of our total exports on value basis. With these activities, it provides 3-3.5 billion dollars of added value every year. While the number of countries that Turkish transporters carry is increasing day by day, road transport is increasing in terms of environment, politics, etc. For reasons, it is subject to a more complex bureaucratic wheel every day. Here, UND sector representatives who are obliged to serve a vision of this nature therefore a "model leaders in the world and Turkey-sector organizations to become as revised. Because UND not only the members of Turkeys foreign trade "world trade" has been aiming to move. In the recent years, the share of Turkish carriers in the transportation between third countries has increased with the initiatives of UND.
